"Flat" paper mache paintings

The top one started out as a cardboard box. I broke it down flat, paper mached it and painted. The bottom 2 are made by using a curved piece of cardboard with plastic over it and taping string across. Then I put paper mache on them and painted. The orange one is really lined ridges, but looked like bumpy fabric when I photographed it in a certain light so I did the blue one reverse. It's actually bumps that are supposed to look like ridges.

Paper Mache "rock" Borders

This technique came from trying to be as sloppy as possible while making paper mache boxes. I was thinking anti-Jason Smith craft error art. Turns out, it looks so cool that I framed a giant vase with it. Turns out, none of the pieces fit together properly when I put them on, so it was craft error art after all.

Figure Drawing Final

The final project for a figure drawing class was self portrait. Everyone used the professor's DSLR camera, but I was the only one who knew how to shoot manual mode. The bones were in the classroom to draw and I matched my pose to suit them.
